At last a newsletter from John!

I know it's been forever since I sent out one of my newsletters ...this was going to be a Merry Christmas one, then a Happy New Year and so on and so forth...so now it's just a Happy ....... fill in the blanks !

So much has happened hasn't it?

The pandemic, me starting work at Sewing Street (can you believe that was 2 and a half years ago this week) between us all, the sewing projects and charities we have helped ...

Amal's skirt was a huge success as were the scrubs bags and more recently the bags for the beads of courage children's charity. I'm still very much involved with them and they are a gorgeous team (but very small) but totally dedicated to what they do .

Have a look at their website you will be amazed what it has grown into from such tiny beginnings. Beads Of Courage UK – Raising Awareness & Supporting Children they should be very proud of what they have achieved.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

I have adopted 2 rescue cats ...what was I thinking? They are adorable but oh oh oh so naughty ...they are like the cat version of the Mitchell Brothers from Eastenders and terrorise all the other pets in the village. If they are Phil and Grant that must make me Barbara Windsor ! (more like Pat Butcher a lot would say!) Their names tell a thousand words...Luther and Ghost (not named by me I hasten to add)

The John Scott Calendar was very popular...especially the pic of me and my lovely postman Nick.

The family are all fine.... Mike still being "dad" to us all, Julie still raising tons of money for Maggie's Cancer Charity at Clatterbridge, Mikey is now a pilot with EasyJet, George is happily married in America and Alex continues to amaze with her writing and acerbic wit ....

Anyway let me fill you in on the news.

The John Scott Show

So many of you have been asking if the show I did online during the pandemic was coming back. Well, there have been stirrings. My friend Daniel who owns On Air Media wants to bring it back to life. We are only at the beginning stages of discussion and he has put together this little questionnaire for you to see what kind of show you would like it to be (should it happen). It looks like it may have to be a different format. So we are thinking of all different ways to make it the best show possible. It would still be online but maybe pre recorded with one live show a month or something like that. Daniel is very keen to make it a sewing only show so that is why we need your feedback .

This is the link to his questionnaire:

Facebook Live

Remember I still do a Facebook live every Sunday. It's normally at 4pm but sometimes it gets moved to 6pm. It all started with the demo's on how to make a scrubs bag or a mask or a scrub cap, then we moved onto a Bargello rainbow for your window to support the NHS and more recently the bags for beads of courage but nowadays its just an hour of gossip and what we have done during the week. It's totally interactive . Why not give it a go. This is where you can find it every Sunday at 4pm.

John Scott's Threads of Life.

My lovely little book . I was amazed at how many sold in the hardback version. Thank you so much for that. I was very touched and humbled. So many of you asking when Part 2 will be released, well not just yet I have so much going on but watch this space it will come along.....eventually. The hard back is no longer available but you can get it in paperback (with photo's inside), as an E book and also as an Audio Book (with me voicing it with many surprise voices also included). This is where you can order yours right now!

Can you help my friend Sarah Rayner judge a book by its cover?

Sarah is an old friend of mine and is the owner of Creative Pumpkin Publishing. It is because of her and her team that my book is now available worldwide. But she too is an author of both fabulous novels and some amazing self help books, can you help her choose a cover design for her new book, there’s a freebie in it for you if you do?

Go on you know you want to

Here’s her website: https://www.sarah-rayner.com/

OK so I have waffled on enough for now

Just want to send you all a big hug and lots of love for being there, for watching my shows, for buying my book and for all your lovely comments and more importantly for your friendship and love.

Take care now
Lots of love
